The elk antler is a drop from my cousin's elk farm in Ohio so no animals were harmed in the making . The sheath is a bit of an experiment for me. I have always been a smith, but leather working is a bit of a new field. Hand stitched and wet formed to the blade. I made it a bit on the rustic side to accommodate the more natural feel of the blade.
I have decide to sell my knives with sheaths on the grounds of protection of my customers. My daughter used one to cut a piece of twine and slashed herself quite deep. It took her several minutes to realize she was bleeding. Also don't feel bad for her, she was 20. She knows better since I tell her every time she touches them that they are sharp.
It is priced at $250 +$12 Shipping and can be bought through paypal on my site [link] .

Why thank you! I am very pleased with how this knife turned out and the hollow grind was all done by hand. The finger guard is also made of Damascus (though I regret that this detail was difficult to capture in a photograph).
It is actually my form of Damascus steel. This one has been etched a little deeper to reveal its grain so you can feel the natural pattern of the steel.
